Absolute Batman #1 launches Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta’s bold reinvention of the Dark Knight, and this 2024 New York Comic Con foil variant presents that opening chapter with cover artwork by Clay and Seth Mann. Graded CGC Signature Series 9.8 and triple signed by Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, and Clay Mann, this copy combines the series’ debut issue with a distinctive convention-exclusive cover and three creator signatures.
The first issue of DC Comics’ Absolute Batman series introduces a different Bruce Wayne and a new vision of Gotham City within the Absolute Universe. Without the billionaire fortune, Wayne Manor, or the resources traditionally associated with Batman, Bruce must find his own way to confront the forces threatening his city. Snyder’s story and Dragotta’s artwork establish the foundation of this interpretation of Batman, making Absolute Batman #1 the starting point for readers and collectors following the series.
Created for New York Comic Con 2024, the Clay and Seth Mann foil variant connects this edition to the same month that Absolute Batman first reached comic shops. The reflective foil finish catches the light as the book is viewed from different angles, giving the cover artwork a striking presentation. For collectors who enjoy NYCC exclusives and Batman variant covers, this edition offers a distinctive version of the issue that began the Absolute Batman saga.
The three signatures connect this copy to both the story and its cover. Scott Snyder wrote Absolute Batman #1, Nick Dragotta illustrated the interiors, and Clay Mann contributed the variant cover alongside Seth Mann. The signatures on this copy are Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, and Clay Mann.
Graded CGC 9.8 with the Signature Series designation, this Absolute Batman #1 NYCC 2024 foil variant brings several collecting interests together in one book. Whether you collect the DC Absolute Universe, signed Batman comics, or Clay and Seth Mann cover art, this triple-signed debut issue makes a standout addition to the collection.
